About Bay Area Masters

Bay Area Masters (BAM) is a competitive water polo club first formed by former college players whose passion for the sport did not end with graduation.

Our mission is to compete at the highest level of masters play while at the same time enjoying the camaraderie and friendships of both those players on our team as well as our competitors. We compete in local and distant scrimmages and tournaments throughout the year, including Master Nationals and FINA World Masters. Our team consists of players right out of the college to some very experienced players.

Membership.
BAM consists of both members and guests. Members are players who are actively playing with the club, participating in tournaments and of course paying dues. Guests are those who are new to the club or just drop in on practices. We keep set number of members to ensure that all members have adequate time during practices. If the practice numbers are full due to all members showing and we are not able to form another team and game, then we may ask the guests to sit out for game scrimages (and of course, there would be no charge for the night). If a member does not renew for the new quarter, we open up the membership spot to those guests who have been routinely coming to practice.

We offer discounts and scholaships to current players if we are in need of more players to fill practices; please contact us.

Our practices are very competitive and the intensity of BAM practices makes all of us better players and better prepared for game situations. For more information check our Practices & Dues page.
